Typoly is a robust solution that solves the most common email typos made while ordering.

The most common email typos are done in the domain and/or extension by missing, duplicate or inverted letters (example: Gmaiil.com with an extra i).

When a customer misspells their email, most of the time they aren't aware of it. The end result is they do not receive their order confirmation or subsequent emails relating to their order (shipping notifications etc) This results in reaching out to your support team frustrated, and your team having to take the time to explain and correct.

Upon order submission, Typoly checks the email address that was used while ordering for errors in the domain and extension in milliseconds. When an email typo is suspected - your customer is prompted and given the opportunity to enter their correct email address.

Typoly supports the world’s most commonly used email domains and their extensions (.ca, .co.uk etc) from the top providers around the world including:

Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook, SBCglobal, Comcast, Rogers, Bell, and many more!

How does it work? Suspected email typos are rectified with:

• Prompt (embedded or modal) that states the email seems to be incorrect with the option to change or keep

• Updates email address within the order backend if a change is made by customer

• Typoly automatically tags orders that have had their email address corrected allowing merchants to quickly identify orders that need confirmations re-sent. Even if this step isn’t taken, subsequent updates on the order through shopify will be received by your customer (shipping updates etc).
